Liberia "HARPER LIBERIA PAID" and "HARPER LIBERIA MAR 12 1869" circle date stamp on cash paid envelope to Stuttgart/Württemberg, with transit c.d.s "PAID LIVERPOOL BR.PACKET 1 MY 69", "LONDON MY 3 69" and "AUS ENGLAND PER AACHEN FRANCO". Embossed sender "HOFFMAN INSTITUTE CAPE PALMAS, CAVALLA W.A" (an institute for deaf and blind people). According to the John Sacher census the only known strike of the Harper circle date stamp, and one of the very few early covers to Germany. A rarity in very fine condition.
