Siam, 1902, BATTAMBONG provisional, 2 ATTS on 3 ATTS, with typewritten surcharge from the original printing, unused with full original gum, lightly hinged in very fine and fresh condition. ONLY TWO EXAMPLES KNOWN IN UNUSED CONDITION (they are normaly always reprints, made with a different typewriter). The original printing is one of the rarest stamps of Thailand in unused condition, and it is missing in all major collections, including the Row coll. (British library), Steward, Symes, Pears, Madden, Eurtiwong, Swanson, Indhusophon, Rattakul ... Only the Wallberg Large Gold medal collection showed the other recorded example (see attached scan of this reference).

The genuine issue exists only used (except for two unused 2 Atts stamps, the 10 Atts is unrecorded in unused ! ).
ALL OTHER MINT STAMPS ARE SO CALLED ROYAL REPRINTS, MADE LATER WITH A DIFFERENT TYPEWRITER.
